Julie E. Gilbert has spent three decades building new businesses, first inside large companies and then from scratch. At Best Buy she rose to SVP of Enterprise Growth and founded WOLF, the women's leadership movement that became an IMD Switzerland case study. She founded PreciouStatus, led customer engagement and growth at Polaris, and was a partner in McKinsey's business-building practice. Today she leads Full Throttle Growth & Capital and serves on corporate and nonprofit boards.

Built software for classifying M&A tax assets at twenty-two, and earned the CPA license she still holds.

Rose to SVP of Enterprise Growth
Founded and scaled new businesses inside a Fortune 100 retailer: Magnolia Home Theatre, the first store within a store; Virgin Mobile USA, a joint venture with Richard Branson's Virgin Group and Sprint; and WOLF, the Women's Leadership Forum, launched in December 2004. WOLF grew past 40,000 members and is credited with $4.4 billion in incremental revenue from women customers. IMD Switzerland made it a teaching case in 2009.
